Get out your fringed leather vest and your love beads, and put a big peace sign on your calendar for August 18.
This night features The THUGZ – which stands for "tribal hippie underground zone." Self-described as "purveyors of Cosmic Americana & Old Time Psychedelic Music," the Thugz performs music that will take you back to the day, including Grateful Dead covers and originals inspired by the Dead, Dylan, the Beatles and even Miles Davis.
Congregation Ner Shalom sits in what was once the Cotati Cabaret which, in the 1980s, was one of the premiere northern California rock and roll venues. The Thugz will perform on the same well-worn stage where Jerry Garcia performed. Come help keep this historic building alive!
Wine, beer and [legal] munchies will be available for purchase. There will be a raffle and a hippie era fashion show. So come out in your bell-bottomed best and strut your stuff!
