Join us at 10:00am for bagels, hot apple cider, and coffee
before the workshop begins at 10:30!
The “Fold-and-Cut Torah” workshop is 90-minute program for pre-b’nai mitzvah kids and their families created and led by Isaac & Rabbi Shawna Brynjegard-Bialik, our very own Nitzanim teacher, Bucky’s parents.
The program includes visual teaching about the connection between Torah and midrash, and about the artistic process as a parallel to the midrashic process. Students explore these topics as a way to think about understanding and teaching Torah at their b’nai mitzvah, using Parashat Lech L’cha as a model. Participants create their own Papercut Torahs using scissors, glue sticks, and comic books.
This event is intended for our B. Mitzvah Academy students and families - siblings ages 10 and up are welcome.
