ABOUT ABOUT

The Dream of Freedom

Sometimes life is like one of those dreams where you can't move or can't speak. Those are our narrow places, like our people's slavery in Egypt. What does any of us need in order to dream our way out of our impossible situations? And how does life open up for us when we do?

The Seder. Led by Reb Irwin Keller with Susie Miller and Lorenzo Valensi. Ner Shalom, located in the heart of Sonoma County, presents its annual community Seder, this year on the traditional second night of Pesach. Together, we will creatively retell our ancient story of slavery and freedom. The evening will be thought-provoking, laughter-filled, and suitable for all generations. A delicious catered dinner (vegetarian plus salmon) will be served. Bring your favorite conversation partners!

Register Early. Registration runs through 2 PM on Friday, April 22. There will be no sales at the door.

All Ages. Seder is an important multi-generational event, with many opportunities for engagement among people of all ages. Children will sit with their parents or other significant adults for this Seder and we will do some good magic to make the night exciting and fun and meaningful for all ages.

Elijah's Plate. There are members of our community who cannot afford this ticket price. Unlike other Ner Shalom events, we have a significant hard cost for each person attending. Help us make it possible to offer financial assistance to those who need it! When you register,  make an additional contribution where it says "Elijah's Plate" so we can let all who are hungry come and eat.

Scent-Free. Please remember: Ner Shalom is a strictly scent-free, chem-free safe space! Please be mindful and help us make this seder safe for everyone.
